My new look

Mom made me go to the haircut store. I fought and fought and made sure they knew I was not happy about the whole professional haircut idea. They didn't even have Kipper to watch! They all said I was "super cute" at the end. Like I care!

Mom said that next time Allison cuts my hair that I get to cut hers..

I guess it wasn't all bad. I was pretty happy when I got home again. After all, that's where I know I can always watch Kipper...

My sister gave me a haircut!

So, I was sitting there minding my own business. My sister Allison was cutting some paper to make something for mom. Mom's not very smart, though, because that's just what she says to trick her so she gets to play with the scissors. So, all of a sudden she's sitting next to me and I hear her saying how she's got to "make me handsome" and how this long hair "just won't do". So, she turns on Kipper (which I really like to watch) and I hear little snip-snip noises. And, she pulls on my hair a little, but not too much. Snip-snip, snip-snip, snip-snip...But, wow, I don't notice because Kipper is REALLY good today...

All of a sudden, I hear mom yell, "Allison! What are you doing to your brother!" So, I look at mom and smile. I hear Allison tell mom, "But, I was just trying to make him handsome!"

Mom sent Allison to her room. Then, she started laughing and cleaning up hair. She said I have to go get a haircut now. I really hope they have Kipper there...

Deep thoughts...by Allison

I had an interesting conversation with Allison this morning. It went something like this:

Mom: "Ok, princess, let's get dressed and ready for school. What do you think you'll do at school today?"
Allison: "I don't know, I'm too tired right now to think....Mrs. Boggs said she liked my hair. She said 'Wow, that's cute.' I like her. And, Mrs. Taylor. But, (Mrs.) Taylor was gone yesterday so it was (Mrs.) Pearl instead. I like her too."
Mom: "Yes, they are all nice ladies, aren't they?"
Allison: "MOM, they aren't ladies. Theyr'e TEACHERS!"
Mom: "Well, can't teachers be ladies too?"
Allison: "NO! They just can't be."
Mom: "Ok, let's go girl, it's time to eat."
Allison: "Mom! I'm not a girl, I'm a princess. You said!"
Mom: "Ooookay...."
Allison: "I have an owie (lifting shirt) and here's the bandaid. Blood is red, even on princesses. But, it will get better and then there will be no more blood."
Mom: "Okay, let's go eat. What do you want?"
Allison: "Chocolate cake."
